It's well outside COSC standards, so it should be covered under warranty. For me losing 20 seconds a day would drive me crazy. Once my watch is off by 30 seconds I reset it, which for me is about every couple weeks. So having to reset the time virtually everyday would drive me crazy. So, I would send it in. It sounds like there is something wrong. What you described certainly is not normal or expected.
