: Right, but Breitling does exactly what Omega
: does - they take ETA movements and heavily
: modify them to ensure their watches have
: superior movements in them. So, Breitling is
: really a CUSTOMER of the Swatch Group in a
: roundabout way.
No Breitling doesn't really improve movments like Omega does. Omega on its 1120 caliber (eta 2892-2 base) adds to 2 jewels and improves the winding sytem. The Breitling cal 21 (base eta 2892-2) has just Breitling engraved on the rotor,a better balance wheel, cosc certification and that is all. You pay just marketing when buying Breitling not really quality as compared to Omega.
The new Omega 3303 is an innovation made by Frederic Piguet alongwith Omega. Breitling doesn't play in the same ground than Omega.
