: Some people have posted that using green
: ScotchBrite pads and very carefully and
: gently polishing in ONE DIRECTION will
: remove minor scratches from the clasp.
: However, you must be EXTREMELY careful if
: you attempt to polish the bracelet yourself,
: since the bracelet has both brushed and
: polished finishes. You can easily ruin the
: highly polished finish if you rub just a
: little too far.

: When you send your watch to Omega for routine
: servicing, they will disassemble the
: bracelet and polish it so that it will come
: back looking like new. There are two
: different polishing wheels that they use,
: one for brushed parts and one for polished
: parts. My local Omega retailer has a
: watchmaker that has both of these wheels,
: and my Bond SMP is there right now getting a
: full polishing and a new bezel. I don't
: trust myself to do a good job on such an
: expensive watch, so I'm leaving it to a
: professional. Just my two cents....

Thanks, for the information John. You are right it is best to let a professional to do this kind of work. I would not try to do the bracelet myself but I thought that maybe I can do the clasp since it is the part that gets the most scratches.
