: Does anyone know if the only difference between the Seamaster Pro Chrono
: 2599.80 (Blue Bezel; Blue Dial) and the 2598.80 (Steel Bezel; Blue Dial)
: is the bezel color? I own a 2599.80 and am thinking of having the Bezel
: replaced to the steel version. On some of the scans I've seen on the
: 2598.80 it looks like the DIAL is a lighter blue than the 2599.80.
They are identical except for the bezel color.
The difference in color you may perceive in photos is usually caused by how the exposure is compensated by the scanner or camera. The difference in brightness, contrast, and reflection on the two watches is not the same because one has a bright shiny highly reflective bezel - the other has a darker less reflective bezel. Also, the wave pattern on the dial is slightly three-dimensional - so it can look a somewhat different shade with the light source at different angles.
