: Not sure how you can say "in my opinion
: the worst is Breitling"??
: I have a 2004 Brietling Colt Superquartz, and
: for the money the quality is truely there.
: The watch is rated at 500M/1,650FT, which is
: higher than most others. I feel the bracelet
: is superior than others, as the links are
: thick and solid. The links and link pins are
: thicker than the SMP, plus the bracelet has
: a clasp with micro adjustment holes for a
: "perfect" fit. The links are
: screwed which means "quick" link
: addition/removal.
: The Colt also boasts the
: "Superquartz" movement which is
: superior and more accurate than most others.
: I'm not bashing Omega here, but lets give some
: credit where credit is due please. The Colt
: is a great watch at a competitive price.
: Best regards,....marcb
Breitling superquartz is just another ETA quartz movement. It will never match in quality an oyster quartz or a megaquartz marine chronometer built by Omega years ago. I already stated that Breitling only rebadged eta movments and did not do a lot of modifications, what the press says about Breitling quality is lies. And people who write articles in magazines, are very often unknowledgeable people who are not watchmakers with 20-30 years of experience.
