: First of all, how do you know what kind of
: literature I’ve been reading and why do you
: assume it was some popular junk?? Just
: because your uncle wore a Rolex and never
: had a problem it doesn’t prove anything! I
: happen to own a vintage 1981 Seamaster omega
: that NEVER had a problem either ( it hasn’t
: been serviced in the last 15 years and keeps
: perfect time)—what does that prove?? that
: Omegas are the best in the world???? No
: everyone knows that each mechanical watch
: can have problems. Those articles you
: provide STILL do not prove anything. You
: need to get real and stop acting like a
: know- it-all. And lastly, I didn’t say Rolex
: don’t make quality movements—just that they
: AREN’T THE BEST!!!
Yes every watch can have mechanical problems, but if a watch has a perfectly concepted movement, it shouldn't have problems.
I would really like to see these articles.
I am not a know it all, but you are quite agressive without any reason. Ask watchmakers what they think about the rolex 3135 and the rolex 4130 and probably it will give you another idea than your litterature. People who write articles sometimes favor a brand and dislike another one.
For your information,I have 7 omegas and my daily beater is 54 years old and is +2 sec per day.
I am very glad of it.
