: Hi all
: I went off today to try on a Rolex Submariner.
: I already own an OMEGA SMP.
: It is often said that the SMP is a competitor
: with the Rolex Sub. But I have to say that
: after wearing the SMP and then trying the
: Rolex Sub - the difference is dramatic.
: Weight, finnish, feel, balance, look; in all
: areas the SMP in my opinion is far superior!
: I just thought I would share that with you all.
Could'nt agree more the SMP is a great watch that costs less than half of the Rolex. I love the sub but think that it is insane that a watch of that price does'nt offer more. I bought a Rolex (albeit not a sub) and felt as if it was lacking. The SMP is heavier, has a better more balanced bracelet, and is (especially the bond model) a break from the status quo if you will divers watches. The SMP is a true classic that will certainly leave its mark as one of the worlds great sports watches.
