: Thank you John. You brought up an very
: interesting point about the service
: intervals, 5 years vs 10 for the GMT. What
: will that first service cost me for the
: regular Seamaster? I have an old quartz
: Concord that cost over $200.00 to be
: "overhauled". Of course that
: included the battery.
A typical full servicing at an authorized Omega service center will cost in the $150-$200 range for a regular SMP. Needless to say, I haven't had to service my co-axial DeVille so I don't know how much it would cost to service a co-axial watch.
: If the cost of servicing the Omega is similar
: to that of the Concord than half of the
: $400.00 difference between the two watches
: can be saved right there.
The actual MSRP price difference is $1400, not $400. $400 is the difference in price between a regular Seamaster GMT ($2395) and a regular SMP ($1995). The co-axial GMT is $3395. At a 33% discount off MSRP you'll actually pay $938 more for the co-axial GMT than you would for the regular SMP. Are you confused yet?
