: Thank you so much for the response Dave and the
: info links. Gosh, those are beautiful
: watches in your link article. I checked the
: vintage watch database on Omega's website,
: and found two watches both Seamasters that
: popped up in the search for ca. 1109. Both
: were in the early 1990's. I called up my
: friend who was selling the watch (he is a
: watch collector) and he claimed the
: following: 1. The ca 1109's were used around
: late 1980's to early 1990's. 2. The
: Constellation I am looking at is an old
: model, and does not have the star as some
: old model's in that period did not have the
: star below the Constellation Chronometer
: label on the dial. 3. Some old model
: Constellations from that period did have see
: through backs. 4. The blue colored stick
: hands on the watch are because its old model
: and different from the dauphin hands in the
: new model Constellations. He claims he knows
: his watches and is very sure of the
: authenticity of this watch. I tend to
: believe him, but I would really like to make
: sure before making the purchase. Any more
: help, anyone? And thanks again in advance.
