: I would like to spend up to $300 on a nice
: casual/sport watch with a leather strap. I
: have been looking at Bulova and Citizen, but
: I am not sure which is a better company. I
: am also open to other company's that have
: quality watches in this price range. Please
: give me some advice. The more specific you
: can be...the better for me. :-)
: Thanks!
Tissot is also owned by the Swatch Group that owns Omega and they make very good watches for the money. I am not a big fan of either Bulova or Citizen since they are not Swiss made like Tissot, and most of their watches come with cheap mineral crystals while Tissot offers sapphire crystals. Tissot gives you a lot more "bang for the buck" than either Bulova or Citizen.
Below is a link to a V8 sport watch from Tissot that retails for only $275, but you can get a discount from that price. This is if you insist on a leather strap. Tissot makes lots of other great models on bracelets as well. Their main website is www.tissot.ch. Have a look around and see if anything interests you. The PRS200 series are very nice divers/sport watches, but they only come on bracelets.
Good luck.
