Hi again! I finally resolved the issue. The Omega Service Center said that it was authentic but an old model. And apparently Omega did make See through backs for such old Constellation models in the late 1980's early 1990's. The big problem though was that the bracelet as it exists was for only a 6.5 inch wrist and I would have to spend approximately US $150 just to get the service center to order and install the links on the bracelet for that model. I felt that was silly just to extend the bracelet, and so I am now looking at another very nice and simple yet elegant stainless steel Omega automatic with Maison fondee en 1848 engraved on the back aside from serial number. At least that bracelet is 7.25 inch and my friend said I wouldn't have a problem having it extended since the bracelet is basically the same as the current Seamasters. Thanks very much for all your help.
