There is great advice coming from all of you. I know that I am not in the Omega price range, but I do not want to throw my $300 away. I feel that there must be great watches out there for around $300 and all of you have given me a few more brands to compare. Tissot has been mentioned a few times. Are the major benefits (1) the saphire crystal, and (2) that the swiss are known to be good watch makers?
Thanks for your help...I am happy that I came here.

: I've never owned either Citizens or
: Bulovas...but have owned over ten Seikos and
: they were all good durable and accurate
: watches. I currently own two Omegas and
: probably will never go back to wearing
: quartz watches. However, I do own a Suunto,
: which is great for outdoor and sporting
: activities. If I were to spent $300 or so a
: watch..I would look at Tissots, Seikos and
: Oris(which may be a little more), but I
: think you can get good deals online.
