Your point brings up a hideous possibility - can you imagine buying a Timex from a Gray Market Dealer?? Can you imagine what such a dealer's place of business would be like? Dirt floor, pigs wandering around loose, chicken on the desk, bullet holes in the ceiling, empty beer cans all over the place, watches in a pile on the desk with some old rusty tools and some pistol ammo, and NASCAR on the television.....
Actually, come to think of it, 120 proof moonshine would be good for degreasing watch movements... (;>)
