Larry,
I own two Omega SMP's (Bond and black) and just sold my Breitling SuperOcean because I didn't like it as much as my Omegas. There were only three things that one could consider "better" about the Breitling - it has greater water resistance (like that matters - who dives below 300M???), it has a steel bezel that has no painted insert so scratches can be buffed out, and it has the anti-reflective coating on both sides of the crystal. That's it.
The bracelet is inferior to either Omega bracelet (Bond or Speedy style). The links are very loose with a lot of "play" in between them, so I always felt like I was wearing a cheap bracelet. The clasp on the bracelet is far inferior to the Omega's nice push button release. The Breitling tended to either dig into my fingernails or scrape away skin when I had to put it on. The Breitling is a thicker and somewhat heavier watch as well. Though mine always ran within COSC specs, my Omegas keep better time. The Breitling always ran slow while the Omegas gain 1-2 seconds per day. Lastly, and this is a matter of personal opinion, my Breitling didn't see much wrist time because the Omegas just look nicer to me. They are thinner and look more elegant when dressed up, and are more comfortable to wear in general.
As for after-sales support, I have read on Breitling forums that the standard servicing costs about $400 from Breitling USA, while this cost is less than $200 from Omega. You may want to verify this on a Breitling forum, but I have heard people complaining about how much it costs to get routine servicing done on their Breitlings.
I hope this helps (if even a little).
-John
