: Sorry about any confusion that I created. Let
: me try again. The potential trade watches
: are: 1. Omega Speedmaster Reduced Automatic

: (This was addressed by
: "lucretius".Thanks.)
: 2. Omega Seamaster Professional 300M James Bond
: Quartz
: Model# 2541.80
: MSRP $1595
: Discounted Price $1085
: 3. Omega Seamaster Professional 300M
: "White Dial" Quartz
: see watch #2
: 4. Omega Constellation White Dial SS Quartz
: Model# 1552.30
: MSRP $1895
: Discounted Price $1195
: As you can see the discounted NIB prices are
: all in the $1100 range (give or take) and
: the asking price on used versions of the
: same watches are similarly close.Hence my
: noting that the used watches are valued
: within $50 of each other. I am therefore
: asking, all things being (fairly) equal,
: which of these 4 watches would you prefer
: and why ?
: Thank you.
Are these the only choices you are given? For my personal taste, there is something I do not like in all four:
- The Speedmaster Reduced has a poor ETA-based movement, as stated in another mail. Please note that it is significantly cheaper that any other automatic clok in Omega cataloque
- All the rest are quartz, which I am not fond of.
If you can afford it, or willing to wait a litter longer for a better opportunity in the second hand market, I would recommend either the Speedmaster date with the Valyoux 7750 movement or the Seamaster auto. Both are nice, reliable and relatively easy to find at a good price.
