here is all I know about Omega's movements

Hi

Omega start manufacturing in its own movements in 1848, it has also built the first wrist watch with minute repeater in 1894 which shared the same caliber than Audemars Piguet. In year 1900 has seen the apparition of one of the best caliber ever produced the calibre 19 followed by many good calibres like the 30t2,33x-35x,501-505,55x-56x,75x,101x-103x,1040,1041,1045,321, 861-186x. Omega ceased to be a manufacturein 1984. All this can read in the book Omega Saga which only exists in French.
Omega used only etas since the year 1985 these eta were simply engraved with Omega logo on the rotor this especially on calibres 1111,1108 and 1153. The serious modification on Omega eta based calibres started in 1994 but I can hardly call a movement made by Eta for Omega an Omega movement. Same remark goes for the 33xx-331x, they are manufactured by Frederic Piguet for Omega.
I think the opinion from the person who works for West Repairs can help you.
To be honest, some authorized dealers stopped to sell Omega after it lost its manufacture status.
hope that helped.

georges
