: thing. What and who is ETA???
So let's start with the history of ETA. ETA belang to Eterna and it has seen the day in 1926. It also regrouped the ebauche manufacture Anton Shild. Anton Shild was the son of the founder of Eterna, Urs Shild. Several ebauche/movements manufacturers were dissolved in the late 70's early 80's an rejoined ETA. Those manufactures were la Fabrique d'Ebauches de Fontainmelon, la manufacture d'Ebauches de Fleurier, Felsa (dissolved in 1969),Valjoux, Venus(dissolved in 1983), Hahn Landeron dissolved in 1969 and at last but not least Alain Michel as far as I can remember. All those firms formed a group called the asuag and it merged in 1984 with the ssih which was founded in 1932 and regrouping Omega, Tissot and Lemania, from this merger is born the smh called later the swatch group. Omega stopped to make its own movements after Hayek baught the firm in 1984 date of the merger between the asuag and the ssih.
