I don't know of any plans as of yet to phase out the SMP 300 line or replace the movements with co-axials. I've read rumours that eventually the 1120 may get replaced with the 2500 but who knows?
The lume on my Bond GMT is great. Should be the same as the regular Bond SMP. As far as I could tell, the late model Seamasters do not have a problem in that area.
