The omea 1861 is based on the Lemania 1873 concepted Marius Meylan Piguet from Lemania Lorient in 1967 and constructed in big series since december 1968. It is the best cam operated handwound movement built in the world and the highest grade as well.
The tag heuer movement is surely an eta 7750 or eta 2894-2 but it is very inferior to the Omega movement on any aspects. The Moon watch is better built than any of the heuer chronos it also has a better precision. All experts will say you that the valjoux 7750 is a very middle of the range movement as compared to a lemania 1873, plus the 7750 is noisy and too common and not a haute horlogerie movement like the lemania 1873.
The 5100 is no more longer produced but it was created by Omega as calibre Omega 1045 and the 1340 was also an Omega developpement but it was modified and it was the calibre Omega 1040.
The 1340 is rebuilt now lemania 1350 but only found in 4 chronos Breguet Type xx and xxi and Ebel Tarawa and 135.
