Hi
The best ground up automatic cam operated movement was the Omega 1040 based on the lemania 1340, it was used from 1971 to 1974, this movement was found in the speedy markII, markIII, markIV and 125. Very very accurate movement with greater power reserve and accuracy than the valjoux 7750. It is a very haute horlogerie movement which production restarted in 1997 and it equips the breguet type xx, type xxi, ebel 135 and tarawa chronographs. In 1974 before the 1040 was abandonned, an awesome movement was concepted the Omega 1045 aka lemania 5100 not an haute horlogerie movement but a very robust and very accurate movement which outranked the valjoux on any aspects. Omega stopped to use the 1045 in 1987.
The lemania 1340 and 5100 are equal in robustness and precision to the lemania 1873.With Lemania, it is like having a 426 Hemi under the hood, an extremely rugged and reliable movement.
