: I have had a Planet Ocean for about 3 months
: now. When I first got it, it kept to within
: 1 sec per day.
: The other night, I left it face down and it
: lost 1.5 hours! (yes I did wear it all day
: prior). Since then it hasn't been keeping
: time at all, as I have tracked it daily. For
: two days it was about 10 seconds out per
: day, today it lost 3.5 minutes whilst on my
: wrist.
: I work in an office environment, I haven't
: dropped or knocked the watch, nor have I
: been near any magnetic fields.
: Does anyone have any suggestions of why this
: has happened, or what I should do?
I can't tell you what happened but the watch definitely needs to be serviced. I would add that you should make sure the watch is fully wound when you do your time loss tests. When you hear a clicking noise as you wind the watch (holding it close enough to your ear to hear the clicking), this means the watch is fully wound (that sound is the overwind protection mechanism kicking in). If you are certain the watch was fully wound when these problems occurred, send it in for warranty repair right away.
