Does anyone have a preference for one of these watches versus the other? I think I saw somewhere that the 2541.80 (quartz) "retails" for $1595, versus $1995 for the 2531.80 (automatic chronometer).
From what I've read on Chronocentric, 2541.80 is the "Goldeneye" watch, and 2531.80 was used in the last three 007 movies. Both appear to be about the same size, but the Goldeneye watch appears to be far less common.
I really enjoy the great feedback I'm getting from you all in these Forums -- and for your patience w/ a non-watch guy! Since I don't think it would be a good idea *for me* to get a used 2537.80, I think I'm sort of narrowing on these two now (unless I should consider the mid- versions?). To be honest, the Goldeneye watch has appeal in that it appears to be less common. But, again, I'm interested in thoughts from you all.
Take care and thanks again!
