Dell- The car anolgy is a fair one. This is why you can get steep discounts on Fords, Chevys and Seikos. But the local Lexus, Infiniti or Omega dealer is far less likely to discount very steeply. Plus, if you really beat the poor bugger down to $200 over cost(which I doubt happens unless a gray market watch) you really don't have a dealer who's going to go the extra mile for you if needed( and really, why should he?)
Alternativly, John or Keith's ADs will treat you great(they did me!) with no posturing or haggling. You'll pay a few bucks more than the $200(the tax saving will shrink the difference some too)for a watch with an Omega warrenty. And once you strap that baby on your wrist your only regret is going to be that it took you so long!
