I owned a Seiko Kinetic for many years before I got my Omega SMP and it was a depenable and rather nice watch, good quality and kept excllent time. My opinion as a former college student is to get a nice (but cheap) watch like a seiko or citizen and save the difference in money (from say a Tag or Movado) and put it towards something you want more for the future like an Omega. Then when you save up enough to getthe watch you truly want it will be that much more of a value to you. Just by two cents.
