About a week ago I bought my first Omega on eBay. It's a De Ville with a 620 movement. The picture of the watch is from the auction.
I opened up the case and checked out the serial number and model number. The serial number is 28774667 which pins it down to approximately 1969! Very cool! The model number s 111.077 and it is stamped on the inside of the case cover.
Unfortunately, I cannot find this model on Omega's Vintage Info website. They only list a 111.078.
Does anyone know what the differences could be? I'm going to guess that maybe it came with a different band?
Below are two very high resolution cropped pictures of the movement and the case cover.
