It's still under warranty, so you can send it in and it will be fixed free of charge. It's also possible that it has been magnatized. If you take it in to a competant local watchmaker they can determine if this is the issue and demagnatize it if needed. I would try this before sending it off for service since it is something that is quick and easy to deal with and based on what you described is a likely cause.
