What kind of proof would they need?
I don't have any papers for my Constellation (bought in 1969) - this would mean that I couldn't get it serviced by Omega. Sad (for me).
I cannot even remember any paperwork (except a receipt) from the purchase, maybe there were a small white/gray leaflet with a red Omega symbol (about 10cm x5cm), but I haven't seen it for years. Also, the receipt has gone.
At the time, the notion of "Authorized Dealer" (or not) didn't even enter my brain.
