TIP: I always use the 'Second visit' technique.
Whenever I visit the any shop, I don't buy the first time around. I'll walk into a store, get their best price quote, and then say to the salesperson something like "umm...let me think about it" and walk out the door. Now, to that salesperson, there's a big possibility that I might now return. The job of the salesperson is not to let you walk out the door empty handed.
I'll return back to the same shop again and the same salesperson would be suprised, yet grateful. He or she is not gonna lose me again, so most likely they're willing to go even lower than before. Especially if they see cash.
Example: MSRP-$1675. 1st time around: discount offered-$1300(29%). 2nd time around:"But I only have $1100 cash." Salesperson:"Do I want to lose this costumer again?" Conclusion: Sold.
