: The 3301 calibre is btter known as the heavily
: modified ETA 2594.52 chronograph movement.
: Try "googling" that instead.
I think you referenced the Omega model number 2594.52, which is the black faced Seamaster Chrono with the 3301 movement. The 3301 movement is actually a F. Piguet chronograph movement, not an ETA movement. That's why watches containing it cost more than those with modified ETA movements (look at the price difference between this model and the Bond SMP chronograph with its ETA-based movement).
There have been many documented problems with the 33xx series movements on timezone.com, so I'd check there for more information. I brought this up on the watchuseek forum and was attacked by one of the so-called "moderators" for "daring to compare a prestigious Piguet movement to an Omega ETA co-axial". He told me my post was "non-serious" and that I needed a lesson in horology. Thankfully the people on this forum aren't arrogant "movement snobs", so I can mention the 33xx series problems without being personally attacked by a rude moderator.
Oh, needless to say, I don't visit watchuseek.com anymore.
