Floyd is correct about the deals available on Guaranteed Authentic Omega's in India. I was considering buying a SMP stateside (thanks Keith and John for your references) but it appears as if it is more cost effective to buy it from India (my home country BTW). I recently spoke to my dad's jeweller in New Delhi and he confirmed the price of a Bond Seamaster as being Rs. 58,000 which roughly translates to $1294 depending on exchange rates. He also gives 2 extra years of warranty over and above the 2 yr Omega warranty and agreed to size the watch for free. He also assured me that the watch comes with all boxes and papers and serial numbers in tact as he is an authorized retailer. The best part was however that he agreed on the price without haggling so if I push him I might be able to negotiate a bit more. I will keep everyone posted when I complete my purchase.
