Yeah, Die Another Day was the most successful Bond film ever, and Brosnan in that respect was the best....
I actually read that Brosnan asked for a respectable price, but was thrown out because of his age... I believe he's in his 50's now... The producers realized that Bond's lovers could actually be his daughters!!! So they opted for a new Bond.
Besides, with DAD being so good at the boxes, they had to make a drastic change to "one up" it.
