Re: Definitive Speedmaster moon watch model number

: Thanks, John: Incredibly helpful!

: I've also seen reference to a 145.012, and in
: all cases, w/ the 321 movement.

: So, um, my next question: Where am I looking
: for these -- and what are the price ranges I
: can anticipate?

: -Dell

I was fortunate to have found my 105.012 on the auction site but you might also keep an eye on the sales corners of the various watch forums.

And don't be afraid to ask for help in checking out "previously owned" Speedmasters. The "Speedy Nuts" can spot problems and steer you in the right direction.

As to prices, vintage moon watches have been escalating in value lately. Prices last year were in the $1000-$1250 range depending upon condition but are now in the $1350-$1650 range. I recently sold a 145.012-67 for almost $2K but it was near mint with original papers.

All I can say is good hunting.

John
