Wow, you're just like me...
In Response To: SMP Concerns.. ()

I like mechanicals, but I like accuracy. Four months ago I bought my first Omega (Seamaster Pro) which is also my first chronometer certified watch.

If started out about a second a day slow, then sped up to around a second a day fast, and now it's back to around a second a day slow. That's with it on wrist (even when I sleep), without handwinding. If I put it dial down overnight, it gains almost a second.

I seem to set it every week or so, but I could set it 15 seconds ahead every month, and be within 15 seconds of true time any time during the month. That's pretty darn good, if you ask me.

My second best mechanical (with an ETA 2824) loses 4 seconds a day, and 3rd best is (with ETA 2893) loses 5 or 6 seconds a day, so my Seamaster is by far my most accurate mechanical. I'm really happy with both the watch, and its accuracy. In fact, I haven't been able to get it off my wrist since I got it and I'm thinking of getting either another Seamaster (electronic blue dial) or an Aqua Terra with the co-axial movement.
