: hello people, perhaps you can give me some
: advice
: i have both a speedmaster automatic and a
: seamaster profesional which were both
: purchased in 2002.
: the dealer at the time of purchase said to get
: them serviced at three years old. is this
: correct or do you think i can leave it until
: ,say, 5 years?
As long as it is keeping good time you can go every 5 years.
: the second question is - how much? and do omega
: give the watches a good clean and polish
: when servicing them?
I don't know how much a UK Omega service center will charge, but here in the US it is in the $260-$300 range. This includes a full disassembly of the bracelet so it can be thoroughly cleaned and polished along with the rest of the watch. You should get the watch back looking like new.
