: I am in the process of buying a new watch. I
: like the Omega Seamaster Pro 300M black dial
: and bezel
: and the Planet Ocean black on black as well.
: Which would you recommend and why. Also, on
: the Planet Ocean which dial, 40mm or 45mm is
: recommended and why
: Thanks
I happen to believe that both are great values for the money, so it really depends on which one you personally like best. I kept my 2254.50 and sold my PO simply because I prefer the look of my 2254.50. I really like the contrast between the brushed and polished portions of the bracelet (the PO's bracelet is all brushed). I also like the wave pattern on the dial of the 2254.50, which is lacking on the PO. Lastly, I don't like the bluish look of the PO's dial/crystal when the light hits it a certain way.
However, the PO has the superior movement and much nicer applied markers. I also really like its arrow hands.
Either way, you are buying an Omega diver's watch so you can't go wrong. As Bryan said, go to a local dealer and look at them side by side so you can decide which one looks nicer to you. Then tell them you'll think about it and order it from the dealer I referred you to so you'll save a lot of money!!!!!
Seriously, good luck with your decision.
