I've been wearing Tissots for a number of years and currently have three quartz and two automatics ones. I was introduced to them by my doctor who has a 30 year old Navigator chrono mechanical that has had no problems and still looks great. The old Navigators still have good resale on the auction sites. If I'm not mistaken, back then the Omegas and Tissots were virtually the same watch with different names but over the years they have separated into completely different movements.
BTW, I saw one of the black with yellow hand Tissots this past weekend at an AD and it is sharp! I'm still saving for a Speedy so my days of buying Tissot are done for now.
