FYI...check out this watch on ebay. It is supposed to be the Bond 007 Limited Edition piece made back in 2002. I e-mailed ebay to report it as counterfeit and e-mailed the seller, telling him all of the things that were wrong about the watch.
The seller came back and told me he would never sell a fake watch and didn't appreciate me accusing him of doing so. I told him to come to this website to see what the real one should look like. The seller said he would remove the item if I could show him what was wrong with it. I think the "007 Connection" section of this website alone should convince him of that.
He's selling a 007 LE model with a black dial and bezel, and the bezel is from the model 2254.50. He also says that 10,218 were made. Wasn't the whole point of Omega's making 10,007 pieces to honor 007????
This looks like a frankenwatch put together by someone who bought the 007 LE replacement parts and stuck them on a Seamaster. What I can't figure out is how they got the black dial to have the 007 logo and wave pattern. I have only ever seen the "proper" blue one for sale as a replacement part from Otto Frei.
Anyway, have a look and let me know what you think.
