Actually, what you found was a one person tirade against Omega over a situation where the authorized dealer refused to pay for a repair under warranty where there was significant reason to believe that the owner had abused the watch.

Most of the other comments are FAR from testimonials -- they are simply shocked reactions to this person's horror story. So none of them support his story with any facts -- just emotional reactions.

It is pretty clear that he simply left the screw-down crown open when he went swimming -- and water got in the watch. But instead of admitting that possibility, he chooses to bully other people into trying to pay for his mistake.

The problem is that this guy:

1. Never considers any possibility of fault or misuse on his own part.

2. At most his argument is only with the specific watch dealer he was dealing with over who has to pay for the repair. Yet he tries to fluff this up to make it sound like all Omega watches are defective pieces of junk.

3. Has a story of how his watch failed that is virtually impossible to believe to people who know how these watches work.

and 4. Is indignant that nobody else will take the blame for him screwing up his own watch.

The Omega Forum at TimeZone has polled its thousands of participants numerous times trying to find any documented cases of Omega watches failing this way or otherwise not being properly serviced by Omega. To date they have found none.

So don't let this one person' personal tirade influence your decision.
