Swatch got what they wanted too. A happy customer praising their great customer service at an Omega Forum.
I'd be a very happy customer too, If only they would reply my e-mails that I have sent them earlier this year! :-(
Common man (a not so satisfied Swatch group customer)
: You may recall my previous postings on the
: problems I was having with my Planet Ocean:
: 1st watch had hour markers that appeared to
: be lifting up off the face of the watch. I
: took this back to the AD who replaced the
: watch begrudgingly, but not the bracelet
: because there was minor scratching on the
: clasp.
: This replacement watch, after a few weeks lost
: a LOT of time. This time I dealt directly
: with the Swatch Group - who serviced the
: watch and indicated that the escarpment had
: been dry, which must have been missed in
: final inspection at the Omega factory. After
: service the watch continued to lose time
: (after I got it home) - up to 6.5 mins per
: day. You may recall my previous posts about
: a 'lemon' watch.
: After advice gained on this forum, I requested
: a brand new watch from the Swatch Group.
: True to their word, I took delivery yesterday
: of a BRAND NEW replacement watch (including
: new bracelet).
: So I would like to congratulate the Swatch
: Group on their GREAT customer service. They
: obviously took to heart my concerns about
: owning a watch which required continuous
: service over the first couple of months of
: its life.
: I am looking forward to this new watch
: delivering on the high quality performance
: promised by the Omega brand name.
