Re: Watch Restoration / Repair - a bit of a rant *LINK*

: I recently sent a titanium SMP chronograph to
: the UK service centre for a restoration, new
: dial/hands and re-issue of chrono
: certificate - result? £300 and six weeks
: later - no new hands - sent it back - 2
: weeks later arrived back having been
: scratched (easy on a titanium watch) in
: transit - sent it back - 2 weeks later
: arrived back in good condition. So, 10 weeks
: to do the job and £300 bill - Hmmmmmmmm, NOT
: IMPRESSED. Can anyone advise me on the
: procedure to send the watch to Omega in
: Switzerland for servicing / restoration and
: a reasonable idea of costs and time taken (I
: still have a few watches that are not quite
: up to the standard I like)
: Thanks in advance

If you go the link below from Omega's website and choose "Europe", then "Switzerland", then "Bienne 4" it will give you the shipping address.

I had a bad experience with the US Service Center in New Jersey, so my watches will all go back to Bienne in the future. The experts on this forum are right - if you want your watch repaired properly, send it back to Switzerland.
