UPDATE: Well I've been around and around on this one... thanks for the assitance John... and it looks like I have finally found a deal I can live with locally. The 2551.80 retails for $2550.00 CDN + 14% tax (good old British Columbia). I've now got an AD who is willing to go $2000 all-in. So my last ditch effort to get it for less will be a friend who is going to check into buying it for me in Alberta were there is only 7% tax... we'll see... either way I should be making the purchase on Thursday.... VERY EXCITED!!

Just for anyone who might be interested, to try and bring in a NEW, SWISS made watch to Canada from the USA, you can expect to pay and additional 30% + brokerage fees! That being said it was not easy getting the price locally that I was happy with... I had to call in a marker :-)
