Serial Numbers??

I bought a seamaster professional (bond) last week and yesterday noticed that the small laser etched number printed in the corner of the case back does not correspond with the numbers printed on the chronometer card or the warranty card. Are these supposed to match or does the numbers on these cards refer to another serial number printed maybe on the inside. Thanks
