Re: Air King
In Response To: Re: Air King ()

Which is why I illuminated the point that I should have probably been comparing the Submariner and the Seamaster. I am not saying that Rolex is a bad watch at all, they have a great, and storied history. I am simply stating that the model in which I owned did not impress me, given the watches cost. I do still like Rolexes as mentioned in my previous post, but would probably have a difficult time paying retail given my previous experience. As for impressing really I couldnt care less. Yes the Rolex was a way of rewarding myself for hard work but my purchase of an Air King ,was due too not wanting to be too ostentatious. And indeed Rolexes "looking down" on consumers whom do not wear Day-Dates is a bad practice. I wonder how many CEO's, political leaders, celebs so on and so forth wear stainless Rolexes. My guess is a lot. A partner in the law firm in which I work wears a stainless Datejust and I know has big $$. Anyhow I know if I took my timepiece in and was "looked down" upon I would question my allegiance to the brand.
