Good point with regard to the fakes, it's incredible how good they are over here. I've looked at a few on the street and the vendors have said that they'll offer a two year warranty and that their's are better than the original. These fakes are not that cheap either, around $200 to $300! But that's beside the point, I can usually tell the fakes over here simply by looking at who's wearing them.
You also have a good point regarding the ROLEX in house movement. All in all as proud as I am of my OMEGA I'd probably pick up a ROLEX within the first two hours of winning the lottery!
I've read many posts relating to shoddy service from the OMEGA centers but I have to say that my one experience with the service center in Japan has been great.
Thanks for all the great posts on this forum! I feel great knowing that I'm not alone in my watch-fetish-world!
