The serial number will be engraved on the back of the watch on the lug at the 7 o'clock marker. It will be engraved so small that you won't be able to read it without a magnifying glass. It will be an 8 digit number.

As for the warranty card, as Craig said, this is important if you are buying a relatively new watch. Without an authorized dealer stamped and dated warranty card or a copy of the original sales receipt (showing it was purchased from an authorized dealer), you have no warranty. If the watch is two years old or older, then it doesn't really matter since the warranty will have expired anyway.

As Craig said, you can get a brand new one from my authorized retailer for 33% off of MSRP, so if you aren't saving significantly more than that I'd reconsider your purchase. It would be follish to pay anything close to that for a used watch with no warranty. Send me an e-mail if you would like my dealer referral.
