Re: Series 33xx Problems Resolved???

Hi John

I think the 33xx problems seem to be specific to the the US than Europe. I have rarely heard if not never heard of problems of 33xx in Europe. The base of the movement is piguet 1285 Edition Speciale not a piguet 1185, the piguet 1285 is larger than the 1185 and taller as well. In fact the 1285 is specifically manufactured for Omega, but it is not as robust as a 1861, a 321, a 1040 or a 1045.
It is nicer built than a zenith but it doesn't beat the king of the chrono movements the rolex 4130, the most robust chrono movement ever built and the only chrono movement that has the biggest power reserve in the world:72 hours!!!
A broad arrow will be a nice dress watch but exclude any tough or harsh activities with a 33xx powered watch.

good luck

regards

georges
