You have nothing to worry about, Peter. Since yours is newer, I'd expect it to have the globe etched on the back. Omega started putting this on their Bond SMP's about a year ago. No one is really sure if this was done as an extra precation to curb counterfeiting (the Bond SMP is one of their biggest selling models) or if it was put there for quality control purposes.
Nevertheless, this topic has come up many times on this forum. I have a 3-year old Bond SMP with no globe symbol, but the newer ones I've seen at local authorized dealers do have the globe on the back.
