: I'm interested in buying an Omega Railmaster.
: Does anyone have any recommendations on
: which size to buy? Also, is the movement in
: the 49er better or worse than the movement
: in the 42 or 38 mm sizes? Finally, can
: anyone recommend a dealer for these watches.
: (I'd also be interested in buying a nice
: used one.)

The 49mm model is manual wind and is a HUGE watch (Keith Downing has some great photos of his). The standard models have co-axial automatic movements. My father has the 42mm version on a brown alligator strap. It looks gorgeous, keeps great time, and is a relative bargain for a watch that contains Omega's co-axial movement. If you can pull off the 49er and don't mind manual-wind watches, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend that one as well.

Check your e-mail for a referral to the authorized retailer I use. You can't go wrong no matter which model you choose. Good Luck!!!
