I'd be shocked if a moderator on THIS forum had to review that question. I know it's an EXTREMELY touchy subject on the watchuseek forum. I was attacked by their moderator simply for mentioning 33xx issues, and I never said a word about any specific country/market.
I have no idea if there is any data to support the assertion that most of the complaints about the 33xx series originate in the US. I know the issue was raised regarding the fact that Omega USA has a poor reputation for customer service and warranty repairs, so perhaps it was "assumed" that the US service center was inept when it came to repairing these watches.
In reality, whether the watch is sold in Japan or the US, it came from the same factory, so unless the US just happened to have been shipped a huge inventory of problematic watches, I can't see why this would be region-specific.
