Your wrist size may only be a bit over six inches, but it may have a different shape than someone else's of the same size. That's why the best, and really only, way to judge is to actually try the watch on. If the case sticks out over your wrist when you look down at the watch, it's too big. If you can't see any of the bracelet links when you look down at your wrist, it's too big. Even on a watch with a big face, you should be able to see at least the top of the bracelet on both sides of the watch when you look down at your wrist. If the watch face covers your whole wrist and the bracelet kind of "curls under" the watch, forget about it.
